Privacy policy
At herbsathome.co, we recognize that privacy is important. Here’s some information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you use and visit herbsathome.co, and how we keep your information safe. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we are
We are Herbs at Home and our website address is herbsathome.co. You can email us at hey@herbsathome.co, or write to us through our contact page.
What personal data we collect and why
1. Contact forms
When you fill out a contact form on herbsathome.co we only collect the information you enter into the contact form. If the form asks for your name, email address, or any other personal information, then that information is sent to us via email.
Email addresses provided in contact forms are not ever used by us for any purpose other than to reply to you in regards to your reason for contacting us. We never sell information from contact forms to any third party for any purpose.
2. Log files
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. The information in the log files includes your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site.
3. Cookies and web beacons
We use third-party advertisements on herbsathome.co to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (our advertising partner is Mediavine) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.
For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners
4. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
5. Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the page you viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, which is never narrower than the city.
It sets no cookies and stores no persistent identifier. To count a visitor only once a day, it combines your IP address with your browser details and converts the result into a hash using a key that is discarded and replaced every 24 hours. Your IP address itself is not written to Ahrefs' database or logs, and once the key is discarded the day's records cannot be linked to the next day's. You can read Ahrefs' privacy policy for the full detail.
We moved to this in August 2026, from Google Analytics. Because there is no cookie and no stored identifier, there is nothing here for you to opt out of.
This section covers our analytics only. Our advertising partner is separate and does collect your IP address and does use cookies for interest-based advertising, as described in the section above and in the log files section below.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We do share data with the service providers named on this page: our advertising partner, our analytics provider and our email provider. The site cannot run without them. We use a third-party email provider to store your email address if you voluntarily signed up for our email newsletter. The privacy policy for ConvertKit can be found at kit.com/privacy.
How long we keep your data
If you send us a message through the contact form, we keep it for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes it.
What rights you have over your data
You can ask us for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hey@herbsathome.co and we will action it.
If you live in the United Kingdom, the European Union or California, data protection law gives you these rights directly. We will not treat you any differently for using them.
The site has no accounts, no logins and no comments, so there is no profile for you to manage.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hey@herbsathome.co and we will delete it.
